sry this isnt d holiday post i promised, but d pics re still in d camera and im nt really in d mood to blog abt hw we spent 3 days juz eatin and sleepin.
today... my cousin took me arnd her workin area and told me all abt construction jobs.
believ it or nt, i wasnt put off but was even more facinated than before!
to begin d story... you all knw tht KC has been a construction site for d past 5 yrs, right?
and last yr, 2sca's classroom was right beside d latest site, d science block.
watchin d buildin grow every day was a new experience and it was then tht i found an interest in construction.
but 99.99% o d ppl i knw, includin my dad and friends, advised me against goin into construction.
reason: it's a guy's world.
right.
still... i believ tht all i want to do is construction.
today, after goin over almost everythng tht's involved in buildin a... building,
ive narrowed it dwn to architecture and structural engineering.
ok, lets look at both (based on my summary o today).
architecture requires a fair bit o imagination, a certain level o drawin skills, a lot o determination (while studyin), and ability to withstand large amount o stress.
structural engineers hafta b gd at calculatin (ie PHYS O.O), gd at logical thinkin, and knwledge o buildin materials.
and look at these ref i gt fr a site:
for civil engineerin- talent for organisation and analytical thinking who are interested in mathematics, natural science and technology, having a poor spatial sense constitutes an obstacle.
for architecture- able to work independently and creatively, students continually fail because they are not creative enough. good spatial awareness, main difficulty involved in the study of architecture is the amount of work that needs to be done.

my conclusion,
i like architectue drawings,
