birthdays

Some dates you just can’t remember. Like when one last paid the milkman.
Some dates you just can’t forget. Like Christmas and April fool's.
Some dates just happened.

Remembering an old friend’s birthday is a hard task without a diary. The only time we made contact was when our paths crossed on facebook. Which, when having more than 400 ‘friends’, is more of luck than coincidence.

For this friend however, it’s a “happened” date. Contrary to my dad’s opinion of celebrating “everyone’s” birthday as a form of frivolity of youngsters, every year I send a greeting, more like a reflex action than something I struggle to remember.
And hold my breath till I get the reply: “OMG YOU REMEMBERED. Thanks Sarah! Nice to hear from an old friend :-D”. It’s a way of making sure we still remember each other.

Wei Chuen, happy 19th! Enjoy your last teenage year. God bless and take care =)

finding a nice skin for my blog is going on my holiday to-do list.
and when hols finally come i'd probably forget all about it =.="

spent today listening to half-hearted discussions bout my building construction assignment.
w 10 ppl in d group, things are hard to manage.
esp when class was cancelled thus we met in my house. sofa and warm lighting and all.

it was a total FAILURE.
i did not try at all.

ok, so maybe i'm p***ed off about this project.
i don't understand why there was only one member present at 11am for the 9am meeting
or how some people could go off/ didn’t appear at all when the only girl in the group worked on the model till 1am (yes i'm biased about the girl/boy thing, so what?)
or letting 2 people who was buried under hw spend one saturday fixing the model for photo-shooting

top news:
1. had my first overnight-er and 24hr-no-sleep in d studio, 2 days ago, for a drawing project. *lost one whole day w/o realizing it*

2. went back to kc for d 220510 carnival today, met lots o ppl, esp my ex-roommate 06', whom ive nt seen for 4 yrs!

3. fell asleep while wearing contact lenses. couldnt remov one o them after tht=.=" *thnk gdness it fell out after me poking arnd for 10 min*

4. it's my parents' anniversary tmr. and i cant go for d celebration lunch (at Umai-ya, no less) cz ive to go for a church meeting *for which im nt prepared* T.T

5. ive gtta teach sunday sch tmr. and my lesson's nt prepared *it's 2am now*

i missed writing my eng lvls dropped drastically
missed reading missed fiction
missed jz sitting at d piano and playin rubbish at least thts my rubbish
missed playin vlb in d sun d feeling o heat and pain on my arms
missed eating breakfast lunch and dinner hav nt seen a piece o vege in days –> surviving on sch food/bread
missed gossiping plain old girls talk
missed chinese pop songs sick and tired o eng pop
missed having a life completely removed fr archi my life rotates abt it nw
missed having personal space if nt i'd shut down soon
missed d days when i dont hav to protect myself i like being innocent

skipped day2 cuz i gt home at 10pm w jz abt enough energy left to climb into bed.
looking, holding, cutting, breathing and stacking polystyrene bowls for abt 7 hrs can do tht to a person.
