speech com

impossible to believ, but there i was takin part in d english elocution competition for d sr category.
and even more impossible to believ, i gt into d finals w a topic o "using icebergs as a source o water"O.O...
i mean, i dont even Like tht topic...
i juz didnt hav time to look for one... so i took d one my teacher offered me.

so this week, which is d most hectic week ive ever had, i managed to split myself into 3 on thurs and went for d speech com (it collided w d hostel photographin sess as well as vlb pract).
it was quite an experience!

i was late so i didnt hav time to really PANIC, but d "adrenaline to stimulate pumpin o heart to prov brain w O2" thng happened...
my 4 min speech took me more or less 2.75 min to finish.
haha~ i was nervous!

then i listened to d others,
couldnt stand one o d sr1 girls! (i knw im lousy, but...)
no posture no ethic at all!! who makes a speech slouchin and readin fr a piece o paper!

so anyway...
everyone did ok, and i silently resolved to work on my accent...
i dont hav one! T.T...

congrats to hansol for gettin 1st in d preliminary round,
and also my sympathies to tammy...

tammy, you did very well!
serious~ your pronunciation was really wonderful!
you sounded like a french speakin eng... haha~ lovely foreign accent, i LOVED it!
dont berate yourself for forgettin your lines, everyone does.
