Being away fr d shelter o my beloved sch does take some getting used to. In d meantime, I’m still not ruling out d thought o carrying a “std Q&A card” card w me.

This is how a conversation betw my mom’s friends/my neighbours/anyone at all usually goes:

(1) (greetings) On holiday, are you?
No, I’m waiting for sch to start.

(2) Oh, where are you studying?
Taylor’s.

(3) A-lvls?
Degree.

(4) Wht, you’ve done your SPM/STPM (depending on hw well I knw them) already???
Yes, it’s nt STPM exactly, cuz it’s fr a chi sch but d academic lvl’s d same as
STPM.

(5) *struggles to understand* Oh. Erm… so… erm… Wht’re you gnna study?
Architecture.

(6) Wow. Gd for you/ gd luck/ so clever, ya? (w d option o *pat arm/ back/ shoulder*)
*smiles sweetly* Thank you.


Then again, there’s d ever familiar (over d past 2 yrs) question o
“(to my mom: wa your daughter so big alrdy arh?) How old are you? Doing your SPM this yr or just finished?”

No complaints though.
Seeing their faces gives me such delight tht I’m actually considering keeping my hair short to cont hearing this question =).

remember wht i said abt him not talking to me for one whole yr becuz o "buzy w studies"?
i added him on my msn list again last week, cuz i thought,
juz catching a mention o how he was doing is enough for me.
he msn-ed me juz now, as well as answering an email i sent him a mth ago.

now im shaking w anger.
how can he act as if nothing has happened between us?
ok, maybe nothing has happened. we didnt fight or anything.
but we havent been talking for almost a year!
and he acts as if d last time we talked was last week.

i dont know why im so angry...
he probably doesnt know tht im mad at him...
but i juz cant stand it.

it was as if all d mths o being angry at myself (& at him),
getting upset cuz he didnt reply to my smses,
telling myself tht he's super buzy, when he doesnt do d things he usually does w me (ie chat, read blog etc),
didnt happen.

as if he didnt cause me to feel sad everytime i think abt him this yr.

but wht i dont understand is, why i can accept jerk's apology...
jerk didnt EVER replied to my smses and letters...

was it only cuz jerk didnt act as if he didnt do all tht?
or becuz he apologized?

trip to rome

graduated and killing time before i go off for holiday in an exotic place non other than...
ROME.
yo ITALY~~
hehe.

so here i am, trying not to "waste my online time" (as my dad calls facebook and blogs) by doing some research on rome.
cuz if i dont, my dad'll probably get us lost...
no sense to ask for directions and all=p

ok, let's look at d top list o "must see"s:

1. the Roman Colosseum-- gladiators and wild beasts! at least in d old days. seats 50,000. one o d world's NEW 7 wonders.
2. Palatine and the Roman Forum-- remember SEJARAH form4, ppl? this is d place where DEMOCRACY was born!
3. Vatican and the Sistine Chapel-- vatican->pope->smallest country in d world->centre o catholic church. hmm ya, and d sistine chapel contains Michaelangelo's work, only one o which is signed by him. (check out d story by following d last link listed bellow)
   
4. Trevi Fountain-- besides being an architectual marvel, it is also, in short, a WISHING WELL. haha. same "throw coin in granted return visit" story. then again, dad says that a fountain cannot differentiate between an euro coin and a m'sian coin so could we pls bring some 20 sen coins to throw.
5. the Catacombs-- used by d early christians in d days o prosecution by romans... they are close to 2000 YRS old. seriously cool.

besides this top5, there's also attractions like
the Pantheon, Park of the Monsters, Baths of Caracalla, Vatican Museums, Museum of Sanitary Arts (this is positively weird), Aqua store (yes it sells ntg but water), poste vaticane (vatican post office) etc.

recommended websites: strange (but true, i hope), serious, interesting, only if you'r into ancient churches.

then there's also d FOOD.
*going wide-eyed and starts to drip over d keyboard*
my aunt specifically asked us to try italian ICE-CREAM.
not pasta, it's d ice-creams tht's worth d plane tickets.
according to her, it comes in a few stacked scoops and tastes like heaven.
probably costs like hell though><.

and at a time when its official site crashed.
